One mom has taken to Facebook to put up a rant against brands for selling padded bras for girls as young as six.
The fuming mother was quick to allege certain brands for doing anything for money and fame and that meant misguiding the youth over something that shouldn’t even exist in the first place.
The padded bras in question were meant for young girls and that has begun a new and trending debate on social media regarding parents’ opinions on the matter.
Angela Turner Fells took images of brands like Calvin Klein at Nordstorm where bras on sale had the label ‘S 6-6X’ marked upon them and that clearly meant they were for children that were six years old.
The mother captioned her now-viral post with, “These are some padded bras for SIX-YEAR-OLDS WTF Nordstrom and Calvin Klein?”
When the post first appeared, so many people were beyond amazed at what was going on. Some couldn’t even believe their eyes that how could such a renowned brand even think of making padded bras for children.
One man who saw the post was quick to jump to the comments section and speak his mind on the matter that he recalled as sick. “This is just wrong! They need to be arrested for sexual exploitation of minors,” he went on to add.
Another Facebook user also spoke her mind, adding her sheer disgust at the brand’s behavior. “Why would they do such a thing? I would remove the padding out immediately!”
On the other hand, another bold reader pointed out how the average onset for female puberty has reduced over the past few decades and that is a clear suggestion as to why padded bras for young females could potentially be needed in today’s day and age.
What are your thoughts on this matter? Do you think the brand should stop making products like these for girls this young or not? Let us know and be sure to SHARE the story with others as well.
