A rapper from Russia has reportedly taken his own life to avoid his conscription to fight in Putin’s barbaric war against Ukraine.
The news comes as the Russian head of state has dictated a massive mobilization of thousands to fight against the war-torn nation. And this has led to a major chunk of the population fleeing across the border to different nations like Georgia.
Ivan Petunin who was better known as Walkie reportedly took his own life in Russia’s city of Krasnodar yesterday. And that left his loved ones in a state of absolute shock and chaos.
Moreover, his body was found alongside a high-rise building that’s present on Congressnaya Street, moments after the musician was last seen recording a message that he opted to publish via his Telegram.
Petunin had a great fan following and had even served in Russia’s armed forces. It is believed that he even stayed at a mental hospital.
While speaking to his fans, he recorded a terrifying message, right before his death. It went on to state: “If you happen to be watching this, I am no longer alive!” Moreover, he even stated how he couldn’t take on the sin of murder over his shoulders because he couldn’t kill someone like himself for no reason.
He also felt how Putin’s sudden mobilization of troops would soon transform into a mega military draft. The news comes as a huge military operation is planned by Russia’s government of nearly 1 million men to help salvage the failure of the war on Russia’s part.
At the moment, at least 194,000 citizens from Russia have fled to neighboring countries like Georgia to prevent being conscripted in the ongoing war.
