The 15-year-old Michigan high school shooter who shot and killed four students has been charged as an adult.
Following the deadly Tuesday shooting at Oxford High School in Oxford, Michigan, the authorities apprehended a 15-year-old student who was later identified as Ethan Crumbley.
Immediately after the shooting, three teenagers, including 14-year-old Hana St Juliana, 16-year-old Tate Myre, and 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin, were declared dead. The fourth victim, 17-year-old Justin Shilling, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital the following morning.
It has since also come to light that Crumbley has been charged as an adult with one count of terrorism causing death, four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder, and twelve counts of possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Considering he has been arraigned as an adult, the 15-year-old is facing life in prison should he be convicted.
It has since the mass shooting also been revealed that Crumbley was showing off his dad’s handgun – the same 9mm Sig Sauer that was used to kill four students – on social media just days before the mass shooting.
As prosecutors have revealed, the boy’s parents may also face charges for not keeping the firearm away from the minor.
While some of the boy’s classmates insisted that Crumbley was bullied as the hunt for a potential motive began, the police insist that there is no record to confirm these allegations.
Furthermore, the authorities insist that the shooting was planned in detail and well in advance in the teenager’s journal which they found in his backpack following his arrest.
