A woke school has sparked outrage after forcing students to attend a drag show at a chapel.
Grace Church High School is a private, independent Episcopal school in Manhattan that held its 6th Annual Pride Chapel event on April 27.
According to the reports, the event organized by the $57,000-a-year school featured a drag queen performance that all students were told to attend.
The drag show was led by drag queen Jesse Havea who was seen entering the church and dancing her way towards the altar in high heel boots and a colorful babydoll dress.
The performer then talked to the students about Pride month and answered questions about drag representations after singing a rendition of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow.’
“I literally went to church to teach the children today,” Jesse wrote on TikTok after the performance.
“A Catholic High School here in NYC invited me to their Pride Chapel. Visibility matters and I’m so honored to have had the chance to talk to you about my work as a LGBTQ+ Drag Queen Activist.”
While some students were seen dancing and twerking along with the performer in the place of worship, not everyone was pleased with the controversial event.
“Immediately upon entering, there was a person handing out stickers with Pride flags on them unironically saying ‘take one or you’re homophobic,’” one student said.
Another anonymous pupil told The Post Millennial that students were forced to participate and pretend that everything was normal.
“There was tons of social pressure to dance along and pretend like it was normal for sure, whether it be people tapping on shoulders and telling them to stand up or just a collective staring contest at whoever wasn’t totally participating,” they claimed.
The third student recalled: “I wondered, ‘Is this really happening in a chapel?’”
