Terrifying reports are coming in about a massive blaze engulfing an entire school for the blind.
According to local media outlets in Uganda, a huge fire was seen ripping through the Salama School that was dedicated to those people who were visually impaired.
The exact location of the school was determined to be in the Mukono district that’s situated in the east of the Ugandan capital later today.
The blaze began at about 1 am local time and at that time, so many innocent young kids were sleeping. That led to them being trapped and dying due to the terrifying consequences of the blaze that struck them in their dorms.
At least eleven people were confirmed dead and most of them were stated to be children. Meanwhile, six more people were identified to be left in a critical state as confirmed by the school’s local administrators.
The news sparked shock and grief amount the parents who rushed to see the situation and fate of their kids. Most were seen crying and heartbroken after hearing about how the fire managed to take their lives in a matter of seconds while they were fast asleep in bed.
Forensic teams, ambulances, and fire engines were all rushed to the site of the tragic incident and despite their efforts, they just couldn’t save those that had been killed by being burned alive.
At the moment, investigations are taking place to determine the exact cause of the fire. Six of those lying in the critical care units of hospitals are being sent prayers for quick recovery while those killed have been left horrified and numb with grief.
The police are still collecting details and are not going public with more information as they are not sure what really started the incident that led to such tragic and heartbreaking consequences.
