A young high school student from Texas claims she was humiliated and retaliated against for wearing a sports bra.
The Texan went on to mention how she donned a sports bra because she wanted to keep everything tight and firm as she was engaging in the sports activity. But little did she know that wearing the right athleisure gear would cause her to get punished.
The news has sparked major shock and outrage across the board. The ACLU mentioned how this was a clear violation and no one had the right to stop a student from donning such appropriate sportswear while busy with their school activities.
Moreover, they reminded the school district how such allegations actually end up putting them in violation of the 14th Amendment.
When asked to elaborate on the matter, the female high school athlete says she was barred from taking part because of her sports bar. She found that to be so wrong on so many levels.
And that’s because she had fellow male athletes performing their respective exercises wearing no shirts at all.
The student was said to be attending Spring Woods High School. It was a hot morning when she saw her fellow male teammates take off their shirts and continue running. She was just so appalled by the behavior.
Therefore, she decided to take her shirt off, and below that was her sports bra. After all, it was only fair. But she was clearly mistaken.
“Nobody said anything to the men running without any shirts. That really did take me by surprise”- she continued. “But when I decided to do the same, I obviously got into trouble. How is that even fair behavior”- she questioned.
