A tank operated by Russian soldiers was caught on camera ‘deliberately’ ramming into a civilian car and running over the vehicle in Kyiv.
Amid Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces began attacking the capital in an attempt to seize Kyiv and overthrow the Ukrainian government.
Clashes also broke out in the suburb of Obolon where two men, who are believed to be Russian soldiers, were gunned down by the Ukrainian armed forces after driving around in a stolen army truck belonging to Ukraine.
Just moments later, an armored vehicle believed to be the Soviet surface-to-air missile system Strela-10, which is used both by Ukraine and Russia, came speeding down the street past the bullet-ridden truck.
Suddenly, the tank swerved onto the opposite lane and crashed into a civilian vehicle before running straight over it.
While it is not clear whether the tank was Russian or Ukrainian, it is claimed that it was operated by Russian soldiers and shot at by the Ukrainian forces at the time of the incident.
After slamming into the vehicle, the tank reversed and crashed into the car for the second time.
“I saw an armored vehicle and there was automatic fire. And here this car, with probably an anti-aircraft gun on it, was already here,” 58-year-old Obolon resident Viktor Berbash told The Sun of the disturbing altercation.
“Two armored vehicles were driving along the road, and the second of them deliberately drove into the oncoming lane.
“It was not by chance, it was for fun, there was no need for this. And it just ran into this car. Stopped, reversed over it again and drove on.”
After the crash, a group of men ran towards the car to get the elderly driver, who miraculously survived despite his car getting totally flattened, out of the wreckage.
Using various tools, the men managed to remove the door of the vehicle and pull the driver to safety.
