The world’s first ever Tour de France Femmes has ended in a complete state of disaster.

According to local media reports, it was a scene of absolute carnage as dozens of cyclists were seen piled up on each other, causing an emergency situation to unfold within seconds.

Paramedics and other rescue services were seen arriving at the scene of the accident as onlookers were stunned beyond belief as to what had taken place all of a sudden.

The news left so many people shocked and disturbed after the accident on Thursday, sources added.

There was a huge group of riders that were situated on the ground, as many called it nothing less than horrifying as the cyclists fell in classic domino style, one following the other in a sequential manner.

This incident was believed to have taken place midway between the race. Authorities confirmed how so many riders were left with injuries while others are still trying to comprehend what actually went on.

Investigations into this high-profile sporting event are currently underway.

“There were a large group of riders who had fallen on the ground. We just didn’t understand what had happened or what it was that led to the tragedy!”- mentioned on witness in the audience.

Movistar rider, Emma Norsgaard left the area inside an ambulance and is believed to have been in a state of absolute trauma and discomfort after falling down, sources explained.

Thankfully, she is doing much better now and is seeking medical treatment at a nearby local hospital.

Other riders had to have their legs and arms bandaged as they had been caught in the middle of the chaos.

So many riders are requesting for the investigation to be made transparent so people know what really went on during one of the world’s most prestigious and anticipated cycling events.
