China has been accused of providing Russia with more lethal aid in the form of dangerous ammunition.
Ukraine’s President Zelensky accused Beijing of empowering Russia during a time when the country is struggling to keep up with the constant breakouts of violence in the country from Russian forces.
Despite the allegations coming forward from the likes of Ukraine’s head of state, Beijing has gone on to deny them thoroughly. They claim no such news about lethal aid being provided to Russia was true.
Moreover, they also found the allegations to be extremely discerning for obvious reasons as there were ‘no plans’ to provide such aid to Russian forces so that they would be in a stronger position.
The Secretary of State of the US warned against such actions to a leading Chinese diplomat and feared that news of this kind would be concerning for obvious reasons.
He similarly added that actions like these would just force both of the nations to enter into a more abrupt position that wouldn’t be in either nation’s favor. “It would cause tensions to rise for obvious reasons”- he further added.
The thought of Russian forces being provided aid by superpowers such as China is never a good sign. As it is, Ukraine is having trouble putting an end to the war that has now been taking place for a year. And till today, there are no signs of it stopping.
The exact words of Zelensky included, “We cannot afford China to strengthen Russia. It’s important that they don’t go on to make the country stronger. And we would like them to be on our side. But after seeing the current scenario, we don’t think that it’s possible”- he concluded.
