A 70-year-old woman has tragically died in the most horrifying pitbull attack recently.
According to local media outlets, the incident took place at the woman’s home where the family’s own pitbull had entered and mauled her like a vicious beast, leaving her crying for help with no one around.
The dog ripped her apart, and sources claim the injuries were so severe and beyond repair that they ended up taking her precious life in the end.
As of now, investigations into the tragedy are taking place to determine what aggravated the dog to behave in this way. It has also been revealed by authorities that the animal has been in the family for as long as the victim’s husband can remember.
But it is yet to be determined what suddenly caused him to be so aggressive and turn on one of his own.
The distraught husband has revealed how he entered his home to only find his wife’s dead body in the backyard. He began to cry and immediately called for help but it was in vain.
Only recently, the husband was seen mourning the death of his stepson who passed away just weeks ago in a tragic motorcycle crash. Little did anyone know that he would now be left to mourn the death of his own life, just a few moments later.
The pit bull was actually a pet that belonged to his stepson but since he was dead, the dog was living with the couple. They never reported any radical behavior or aggressiveness, and that just makes the entire case a new mystery for many.
The victim was identified as Marina Verriest who passed away in the couple’s Long Island home recently.
