A woman who was reportedly kidnapped more than 50 years ago has finally been reunited with her loved ones.
According to reports from local media outlets, the woman was kidnapped when she was just a toddler. Today, she’s 53 and has finally been reunited in what is being described as the most miraculous incident.
53-year-old Melissa Highsmith was kidnapped by a babysitter. This particular incident took place nearly 51 years ago as confirmed by local media outlets.
Both her parents and her siblings found her through rapid DNA tests. And while her family did end up searching the entire nation, no one knew or could ever believe that she was always just a few minutes away from them.
A fruitless trip went on to suggest that she was in North Carolina in September. And while the family says they were left in a very desperate and helpless condition by law enforcement agencies who refused to help her during this search.
