A very sad and sorrowful Regina King has recently announced her only son’s sudden death by issuing a heartbreaking public statement.
Regina mentioned how her only son named Ian Alexander Jr has died on his 26th birthday. But the world was more than shocked to learn how he reportedly killed himself.
The grieving mother chose to issue a statement to the public that contained the most heartbreaking and emotional message.
It stated: “Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian. He is such a bright light who cared about the happiness of others,” she revealed.
Meanwhile, sources that are close to media outlet TMZ mentioned how Ian intentionally chose to take his own life on his 26th birthday.
The 51-year-old actress was grieving and at a complete loss for words while she made the announcement as revealed by close sources.
“She is beyond devasted as are other members of the family by the sudden loss of Ian that no one saw coming,” the source went on to claim.
The family has requested the public for a very respectful consideration during this difficult time as they mourn Ian’s sudden and tragic death and all the circumstances that surround it.
Ian died yesterday which was also his 26th birthday. He was the child of Regina whom she shared with former partner and record producer Ian Alexander Sr. He was the actress’s only child.
Regina is known to have shared a very close relationship with her son who was not only an artist but also a DJ. She was often accompanied to so many of her public events with him by her side. And that is why this is just too shocking and difficult for her to process.
“She is my super mom. I am just so lucky to have a mother with whom I enjoy spending time,” Ian used to say.
