A female Ukrainian refugee has been assaulted by two men aboard a hotel ship in Germany.
According to reports from local media outlets, the two men were Ukrainian citizens but were originally described as being Nigerian and Iraqi in descent.
The victim was identified as an 18-year-old who was fleeing the war and for that reason, she was taking refuge aboard the hotel ship that was designed to house others escaping the war-torn nation of Ukraine.
The two suspects have been caught by the police who revealed their ages to be 37 and 26.
Now, the police are launching a probe into the tragic incident relating to the alleged assault as many fear the worst in terms of other refugees in the area.
The United Nations has revealed that millions of people have fled Ukraine and entered several neighboring countries to help take refuge against the brutal strikes of Putin’s men as the war enters its 20th day.
Other than the paying guests who were aboard the hotel ship, there are a total of 25 refugees who fled Ukraine since the invasion of Russian forces into their nation began.
The majority of refugees comprise women and children as the world struggles in developing adequate strategies that would prevent such vulnerable targets from being affected through the hands of human traffickers.
This horrifying incident is being looked upon as the second alleged r*pe to have taken place of a refugee and it’s sparking more and more fears amid already growing tensions of conflict.
Meanwhile, MP Andrea Lindholz has released a public statement where she not only condemned the act but also stated that the police must do more to prevent such incidents from taking place.
“They need to act immediately to prevent such terrible cases of assault from taking place”- she revealed.
