Rebel Wilson has revealed she has a girlfriend as she came out as gay on Thursday.
Taking her followers by surprise, the 42-year-old Australian actress and comedian claimed she had finally found her Disney princess after searching for a prince for so many years.
“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,” the Pitch Perfect star wrote.
Her message was accompanied by heart and rainbow emojis as well as a photo of Wilson smiling from ear to ear while holding on to the arm of her girlfriend, Romana Agruma.
The big reveal comes three months after Wilson, who underwent a massive weight loss in recent years, was spotted attending Vanity Fair Oscars party together with her designer girlfriend.
After the actress came out as gay, a friend of Wilson told the People magazine that “Rebel is in an amazing place” and that they’ve “never seen her happier.”
While Wilson previously told People that she’s found a new partner through her friend, she failed to mention who her new lover was or that she was a female.
“We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other. It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic,” she told the magazine last month.
“I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it’s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship.
“There were times — I’m not saying with all my exes, they’re great — but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn’t have. So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship.”
