Russian President Vladimir Putin has once again renewed his nuclear war threats as he promised a “lightning-fast” response to countries that interfere with Russia’s plans.
In yet another chilling threat to NATO and the West, the Russian dictator vowed to carry out “counter strikes” against “outsiders” who dare to interfere with his bloody invasion of Ukraine.
“If someone intends to interfere in what is going on from the outside they must know that constitutes an unacceptable strategic threat to Russia. They must know that our response to counterstrikes will be lightning fast. Fast,” Putin said during his address to the legislators on Wednesday.
He added: “We have all the weapons we need for this. No one else can brag about these weapons, and we won’t brag about them. But we will use them.”
While the Russian strongman didn’t say which weapons specifically he was referring to, it is likely he had the country’s new hypersonic missile, Satan 2, in the back of his mind.
The intercontinental ballistic missile, which was in development for years, is capable of carrying 12 nuclear warheads at once.
As Kremlin claims, the missile can reach speeds of 16,000 mph and can strike any part of the planet.
In his speech, Putin went on to speak of the love for his homeland as he branded it the most important value.
He also praised his “heroic” army as he insisted – ironically – that his “special military operation” is being used as means to “prevent a large-scale conflict.”
“All that confirms our reaction was timely and correct,” Russia’s president said.
During his address to the legislators, Putin also took a jab at the West as he accused the world of turning Ukraine against Russia.
“For years they turned our neighboring Ukraine into an anti-Russia,” he added.
“Let me remind you that Russia was always sympathetic and acted as a friend and as a comrade and as a brother, it viewed the creation of the independent Ukrainian state – at the time we thought this would be a friendly state.
“We would develop together and strengthen each-other and create the best conditions for our competition and development and of course we didn’t expect they would create anti-Russian on that territory. We cannot allow this.”
