This is the heartbreaking story of a widow who says her husband could have been alive today if emergency services had not put her on hold for ten minutes.
Emma Blehs is now a grieving widow who says she could have been in a different situation if she had gotten the medical assistance that she required from rescue services.
Her husband had reportedly suffered from a fatal heart attack. Therefore, the only thing that came into her head was to call emergency services at 999. But they told her to stay on hold for a good ten minutes.
During that time, she couldn’t even begin to imagine what to do next. Therefore she decided to stop waiting and begin her own attempts at resuscitating her partner.
The ambulance is believed to have arrived after a good 22 minutes. And by that time, her partner had died, right before her very own eyes.
“It’s the most painful thing to watch. He was my life, he was my light, he was everything I had”- she explained.
The heartbreaking story has gone viral and many people are expressing their fury at 999 for taking so long to respond to an emergency situation that was as critical as this.
Therefore, an investigation into the matter has begun as the family wants justice in the form of answers as to why it took so long.
The mother of two who hails from Dorset said the operator told her to wait and she never came back until after ten minutes. Therefore, she became frantic and just started to think of the worse possible thing that could happen to her husband and that’s exactly how the tragedy concluded.
