The power possessed by a pensioner should never be underestimated and this next story is shedding light on a thought like that.
A 90-year-old man reportedly put on a brave face and managed to chase a burglar from his residence after the latter tried to steal his wallet.
But he also managed to follow him to a grocery store where he went about smashing him in the face and teaching him a lesson that he’ll remember for a long time. Thankfully, he got his wallet back along the way too, sources have confirmed.
The pensioner who wants to remain anonymous says he was relaxing inside his home in Hull when all of a sudden, he heard 49-year-old Nicholas Norton come forward to his door and pretend that he had an injured leg so he could get some added attention. But little did he know what he was getting himself into.
When the elderly gentleman went inside to get some medical supplies to dress his wound, he was shocked to see that the stranger managed to grab his wallet and even ran out of his residence.
The retiree took on a brutal chase and managed to track him down. “I needed to teach him a lesson. I’m a very peaceful person otherwise but this guy really test my limits!”- the man explained.
The brave man was also able to report the thief to the cops and that’s when the criminal was arrested and soon charged with the crime.
It’s astonishing to know how the criminal named Norton has a brutal crime history. This comprised 80 offenses that he carried out in the past, of which 44 were related to stealing.
Now, he’s been given a jail sentence of 3.5 years at the Hull Crown Court too.
