“The 6-Year-Old Knew He Would Die, The Abuse Could Have Been Stopped”- Probe Launched Into Social Workers’ Missed Chances Of Stopping Arthur’s Abuse

This includes reportedly banging him against hard surfaces, poisoning his food, feeding him salt-laced meals, and isolating him from the world in a separate room, and even starving him of food and water.

Both father and the stepmother have been convicted of their crimes in the courtroom yesterday but the case is still causing concern as many have gone on to claim that the abuse that Arthur endured could have been prevented.

Shocking audio and video clips revealed in the courtroom showed how Arthur was bullied, punished, hit from the instant he woke up.

Another harrowing clip featuring the poor child showed him crying and telling the camera how nobody loves him and nobody is going to feed him.

Meanwhile, just two months before he passed away, social workers from the council visited his home and found nothing wrong, reporting how the household was happy and lively.

The child was allowed to stay there and the abuse just kept on continuing. Other reports spoke about how the child was covered in bruises from head to toe but officers failed to intervene in the case as social services were already involved in the case.

Arthur’s granny claims that the child was let down by the social services and the police who could have done something. “There was an opportunity to save him but it was not taken,” she cried. “They failed to notice how weak and fatigued he was. How can that even be possible, he passed away eight weeks later,” she added.

The child’s stepdad also called social services weeks before his death regarding abuse concerns but again, they were ignored as were the visible bruises on his shoulder.
