A 51-year-old elementary school principal who jumped to his death at a parking lot in Disneyland left a note on social media blasting all the charges against him.
Chris Christensen from California ended his life during the Christmas lighting ceremony at the Anaheim theme park.
According to reports, he was scheduled to appear in court on child endangerment charges after his wife Marlena called the police during an argument in front of her two daughters.
Christensen, the son of a legendary Disney music director, said in his note that he wanted to end his life as he was about to lose his job after the charges were filed.
“Never in this exchange did I hit, slap, or hurt Marlena in any manner,” he wrote. “Nor did I ever touch the girls (I never have and never will). I love the girls like my own and they know that, as does everyone else who truly knows me.”
He also wrote that it is “sickening how quickly and easily an innocent man can be thrown in jail based on zero evidence or proof.”
Christensen said that his wife had no intention of having that incident come this far.
“She knows I would never hurt her or the girls and she, too, has been trying to clear my name with little success. Again, the legal system is deeply flawed, to say the least!” he added.
“So, here I am… writing my final FB post to all of you.”
The school principal thanked his musician pals and said he would miss playing music with them over the holidays.
Concluding his post, he asked others to be kind to each other, saying there’s already too much hatred in the world and that people need to start treating each other in a better way.
Christensen’s body was found after it was reported that a person had been seen falling from the Mickey and Friends parking structure.
