Vegans are taking over London and now, they’ve found a new way to protest at high-end department stores across the city.
Think along the lines of pouring milk across the aisles of leading supermarkets as a means to show their fury over the sale of cow’s milk.
According to local media outlets, the activists were seen storming two separate locations in the city and that’s where they found it okay to make a giant milk spill mess and walk away so easily.
But thanks to one heroic shopper who felt enough was enough, they were stopped from exiting the checkout. He reportedly assisted the security guards at the store in kicking them out. But now, they’re fighting back with accusations of assault, adding that no one had the right to stop them from protesting against animal products.
The Animal Rebellion group was seen naming the protestors and calling them out as members hailing from Essex.
Seeing places like Selfridges be attacked is definitely unique for many but others felt that the officials present at the scene should have done more to prevent such attacks from taking place in the future.
In the images and video footage that’s going viral as we speak, the activist begins to pour milk and get rid of cheese. These two popular dairy products looked like it was their target. And seeing food wasted in this manner when people are dying of starvation is definitely a unique affair.
The other giant department store that was targeted included Fortnum and Mason.
It’s interesting to note how none of the activists were arrested by the cops. Moreover, they were indeed escorted away by security but authorities have just confirmed that zero arrests were made during the vandalizing of the store by vegans.
