At least two emergency crew members have been killed after a plane struck a fire truck at take-off in Peru.
Survivors were seen posing for selfies after living through the horrifying aftermath of the incident that lay right in front of them.
The shocking video of the crash shows the plane’s wing slamming into the firetruck at high speed, causing a massive plume of smoke to cover the runway.
In the same way, the incident resulted in the plane’s wheels buckling. Also, the footage showed the horrifying moment when the plane skidded on its undercarriage for hundreds of feet down the runway, and part of it even ended up catching fire.
The selfie featured the two plane crash survivors posing for a picture while still covered in firefighting foam after the aircraft hit a fire truck in a terrifying crash.
This crash reportedly took place last week, as confirmed by local media outlets.
The airline involved in the crash was identified to be LATAM Airlines which went through the incident on a runway in the country’s southern part.
It was more than tragic to learn how two firefighters were also killed in the tragedy.
The fire truck continued to speed on the runway and went into the same path as the plane. It was believed to have been carrying around 120 passengers onboard.
Critics and aviation experts are calling the incident out as a near-to-death experience but they also feel it’s an absolute miracle that none of the crew members had been killed or were injured in the accident.
But despite the seriousness of the situation, two passengers were able to take out some time and stand on the same runway and take a selfie with the same aircraft.
