The police have spoken out and revealed how Bob Saget sustained severe head injuries after calls for an investigation into his manner of death.
The beloved 65-year-old stand-up comedian and Full House star was found dead at his Orlando Ritz-Carlton hotel room on January 9 shortly after his tour performance.
In a recent turn of events, a medical report confirmed that Bob had suffered severe head trauma shortly before going to sleep and never waking up.
Upon examining the report, health experts from around the nation insisted that the significant injuries were comparable to someone getting hit with a baseball bat or someone falling from 30 feet.
Now, amid calls for additional investigating, sources told TMZ that the police believe Bob suffered skull fractures as a result of his head slamming against the headboard of his bed.
The sources also appeared to double down on the police ruling that no foul play was involved by saying that the electronic door in the actor’s room wasn’t opened by anyone after he entered and before he was found dead by hotel staff.
While the authorities suggest one thing, several medical experts spoke out since the autopsy report to question the nature of the comedian’s passing.
“This is significant trauma. This is something I find with someone with a baseball bat to the head, or who has fallen from 20 or 30 feet,” Dr. Gavin Britz, the director of the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute and a chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Houston Methodist Hospital, told the New York Times.
Meanwhile, CNN’s chief medical correspondent and neurosurgeon Dr. Sanjay Gupta suggested that the actor’s injury “was not a simple bump on the head.”
“When you read this autopsy report that may still be the case, but it was a pretty significant blow to the head.point 368 |
That takes a lot of force to do that.point 29 | If I knew nothing else about what had happened, you’d think this was someone who had fallen down the stairs and had several impacts to the head or been unrestrained in a car accident,” Dr.point 187 | Gupta said.point 197 | 1
“Whatever happened here, we may never know how he fell or what happened, but it was a significant blow that caused that. And likely, the bleeding on top of the brain is likely causing pressure on the brain and subsequently, sadly, what led to him becoming unconscious and dying.”
Speaking out about the tragic incident was also Bob’s Full House co-star Candace Cameron Bure who said “a lot of questions” popped up in the recent weeks.
“It’s been difficult, these past couple of weeks, because of more things that have come out. And there’s a lot of questions,” Cameron Bure said on Fox and Friends.
“And I’m trying honestly not to think about it in the sense that I just – I want to remember Bob and what a kind and loving and amazing person that he was. And let it be that.”
