A 23-year-old flight instructor was reportedly killed in a tragic plane crash that was caused by her own student.
According to local media outlets, the 18-year-old student that was training pointed the nose of the small aircraft too high during a lesson and that is what caused the airplane to stall and crash.
The flight instructor who passed away in the heartbreaking tragedy was said to be from Sweden. She was only 23 and recently identified as Viktoria Theresie Izabelle show attend Virginia’s Hampton University.
Moreover, she was a bright and beautiful individual and very professional and talented too. Her achievements were always praised as was her passion for flying. But little did anyone know that this passion would end up taking her life, one day.
The tragedy struck on Thursday at about 3 pm. During that time, she and her two students took off for the doomed lesson. While instructing, the student named Ayomide Oyebode pointed the plane’s nose in a direction that was too high.
And that is what led to the horrifying consequences in the form of an immediate and devastating crash.
Viktoria who obtained her commercial pilot license and was currently living in Virginia was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after the plane fell at rapid speeds into a ditch.
She, the student, and another 18-year-old male happened to be the only two passengers on the plane. While the students did manage to survive, they were described as having critical or life-threatening injuries. Sources revealed how paramedics rushed them to a nearby hospital for immediate medical assistance.
Both of the students are believed to be enrolled at Hampton and were taking up aviation classes. Now, loved ones are mourning the death of a talented young woman who they used to call the light of their lives.
