A black teenager from New Jersey that was reportedly caught on camera being pinned down by officials says he was intentionally made to feel inferior to his white counterpart.
The New Jersey police department was recently under fire as many slammed officers for pinning down and restraining a black teenage boy while allowing his counterpart to sit and watch the action while seated on a couch.
Clearly, both boys seemed to be involved in the violent confrontation but that didn’t seem to matter as the cops were more worried about the black teenager than the white, as can be seen in the shocking footage.
Moreover, eyewitnesses present at the scene also condemned the actions of the police, adding how race and skin color were two major factors that led the cops to behave in the manner that they did.
“They’re only doing this to him because he’s black”- one passerby boldly declares while watching the teen be restrained and handcuffed.
Speaking for a recent interview on CNN, the black teen named Z’Kye Husain said he was furious at the cops and their disparate treatment against them.
“I was made to feel like I was so much less important”- he stated while talking to host John Berman. “I was so mad, I was angry because they treated me so differently”- he boldly declared.
Husain is believed to have been involved in a fight with a white teenager at a mall in Bridgewater. He is believed to have confronted the teen for trying to beat up a student from 7th grade.
But all of a sudden, the argument gets really heated and the duo breaks out into a violent brawl.
Before they know it, cops arrive at the scene and begin to restrain the black teen forcefully on the ground by pressing their knees against his back.
