33-year-old Babis Anagnostopoulos has been sentenced to 27 years in prison after murdering his young British wife named Caroline Crouch.
According to local media reports, the Greek helicopter pilot made plenty of heads turn when allegations of murder became attached to his name in regards to his 19-year-old partner. But little did anyone know that they would turn out to be true in the end.
Caroline was just 19 when she died and sources claim the heinous killer even went about murdering the couple’s pet dog named Roxy.
The court has sentenced him to 16 years in jail for her murder but he has also reportedly received another massive 11-year long jail sentence for killing the pet dog, adding on years to his already perverted and heinous crime. Sources revealed how the suspect tried his best to disguise how he strangled them both but he failed miserably as revealed by the court of justice recently.
The court is said to have only taken one hour to reach their final verdict of deeming the suspect guilty after a long six-day trial. Source also spoke about how the suspect was Greek in origin and that’s why he will now be spending his tough days inside a jail located in Athens.
“He tried to cover up the crime as a major robbery but that just did not work”- explained the lawyers fighting against him.
The suspect will also reportedly be forced to pay about 21,000 Euros as a part of the fine for his crime. Moreover, sources claim that the prison is surrounded by high-profile security and is deemed to be one of the toughest jails in all of Europe.
The exact location is on the outskirts of the city of Athens and it’s deemed notorious due to overcrowding and claims of violence too.
