The million-dollar defamation trial involving actor Johnny Depp and actress Amber Heard continued in the courtroom today as new evidence was shown to the jury.
According to reports from local media outlets, today was another explosive day in the courtroom as a taped phone call was presented as evidence that featured Amber Heard pushing Johnny Depp to inform the world that he was a victim of domestic abuse.
The shocking recording was played on Monday while Johnny Depp took the stand for the third time in the trial.
In the audio clipping, Amber Heard can be heard mentioning to Johny Depp the following: “Tell the world, Johnny, tell them I, Johnny Depp, a man, am a victim of domestic violence!”
After the bombshell reveals, Johnny Depp was questioned by his lawyers about how he replied to Heard’s comments on the situation and what exactly were his words in regards to the matter.
To that, Depp replied, “Yes, I am!” And that was the end of the actor’s three days of testimonies in front of the world, as he immediately stepped down and left the witness booth in a rush, sitting down once again by the side of his legal team.
Other sources confirmed how Johnny Depp clearly stated in the Virginia courtroom that the only person that he has ever abused in his entire life was himself.
During the trial, he was also seen testifying against Amber Heard about how much his former partner disliked actor Paul Bettany because Depp had been so close to him and she always saw him as a threat.
There was even a point where Heard and Bettany got into a fierce fight with one another, and she just continued to speak right over him.
In addition to that, another shocking revelation was how Amber Heard requested Depp to violate one of his restraining orders so the duo could meet in San Francisco.
For now, the case continues and it will be interesting to see what other evidence pops up because so far, it’s been quite a thriller.
