Dwayne Johnson has changed his mind in terms of supporting his long-time pal Joe Rogan after the latter was slammed for using derogatory terminology.
According to local media outlets, The Rock felt the heat from his fans, followers, as well as critics after he opted to showcase support for Joe Rogan. And that’s because he was not aware of his friend’s use of the N-word that many felt was beyond outrageous.
Now, the star is acknowledging his mistake over the controversial podcaster’s continuous use of the term, adding how it was a learning moment for him.
The popular star could be seen responding to renowned author Don Winslow in his Tweet. And that’s when Winslow mentioned The Rock and slammed him for showcasing support, despite the recent incident.
“It can be said without a double that the recent backing of Joe Rogan by Dwayne Johnson was a terrible abuse of his power” and that was in content to the entire controversial scandal.
But The Rock made sure he cleared the air, there and then, by tweeting back the following: “I was not aware of his use of the word prior to the comments that I had made. Now, however, I have become so much more educated about what really went on and his complete narrative”- he stated.
In addition to that, The Rock called the entire incident a huge learning moment for him, which so many of his fans and followers appreciated because it’s not easy to own up to your mistakes when you’re in the public eye.
Shockingly, Joe Rogan dropped the N-Word bomb more than two dozen times during his recent podcast, sending shockwaves around the country because his show is deemed to be wildly popular.
