BREAKING: More Than A THOUSAND People DEAD And Up To 600 More Injured As Powerful Earthquake Strikes


Terrifying reports are coming in about a mega-earthquake smashing Afghanistan this morning.

According to local media reports, at least 1000 people have been declared dead and more than 600 people are thought to be injured as a huge 6.1 magnitude earthquake ripped through the war-torn nation today.

As of now, hundreds of survivors are still said to be buried beneath the rubble and are awaiting rescue efforts.

The earthquake is stated to have struck the Paktika province which is present on the country’s east side. This was during the early hours of the morning, taking the country’s citizens by absolute surprise.

As of now, rescuers are still struggling with relief and rescue efforts as hundreds of survivors are still believed to be trapped.

The aftermath comprised villages being flattened down to the ground while huge landslides have also taken center stage, thanks to the huge natural disaster.

So many residences were slammed down to the ground to form rubble while there were huge tremors and aftershocks being felt after the earthquake’s passing.

Bodies lay scattered on the ground covered in blankets as one UN humanitarian agency has declared a state of emergency recently.

Rescuers were seen scrambling with first aid and food sources as the death toll for the horrifying disaster was expected to rise further.

After the mighty Taliban takeover, most of the western world has reportedly left the country last year and that is sure to complicate matters further and further worsen any relief efforts that are currently taking place in a nation that holds a staggering population of 38 million people.
