Four people were killed in a horrific plane crash that took place during a sightseeing tour in Iceland.
On Thursday, a sightseeing plane carrying four people came crashing down into Lake Thingvallavatn some 25 miles away from the country’s capital, Reykjavik.
By Sunday, three days after the deadly crash, all three passengers and the pilot were found dead. According to the reports, some bodies were found in the icy water more than one hundred feet deep.
Among the victims was 22-year-old American skateboarder and influencer Josh Neuman who has nearly 1.2 million followers on social media.
It has since come to light that Neuman was traveling with Tim Alings, a manager of the Suspicious Antwerp fashion brand, and Nicola Bellavia, a skydiver and influencer, in a bid to create content for the Belgian brand.
All three passengers died in the crash. Among the deceased was also the plane’s pilot, 49-year-old renowned aviator Haraldur Diego.
Following the tragic news, Neuman’s family posted a touching tribute to the inspirational young man via his Instagram.
“Josh represents the side of humanity we all strive to achieve. The way he not just touched, but impacted lives, was on a scale of its own,” they wrote.
“In his quest for adventure, thirst for creativity and passion for personal reflection, he truly impacted all those he touched. Josh believed in this world and knew that one person could make a difference. And he did.”
The family added: “In his 22 years on this earth, Josh didn’t just live life, he was life, and he lived every day to the fullest extent possible while being kind to everyone.”
In the touching tribute, the family went on to recall Josh as a dreamer and a doer who “took advantage of every moment while inspiring millions along the way.”
Our thoughts are with the families of all of the victims.
