The parents of the teenage Michigan school shooter were reportedly called to their son’s school on the day of the carnage.
Following his arrest, 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley, who shot dead four students during his rampage at Oxford High School, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of terrorism causing death and is facing life in prison if convicted.
It has now come to our attention that the teen met with his teachers to discuss his behavior on two occasions shortly before the tragic event.
According to the reports, Crumbley attended his first meeting with the teachers to discuss his behavior on Monday. On the following day, both Crumbley and his parents were called to the office for a meeting.
While it isn’t clear what exactly had sparked the need for these meetings, it has since been confirmed that they had something to do with the teen’s behavior.
In a recent turn of events, it was also revealed that the authorities raided the boy’s family home in Oxford on Wednesday morning. After an hours-long search, officers were seen carrying an armful of firearms from the house.
As the prosecutors have since confirmed, they are still deliberating charging the gunman’s parents, James and Jennifer, for not keeping the 9mm Sig Sauer gun that Crumbley used during the shooting secure.
“Shortly, we’ll be announcing whether or not there will be other charges,” Oakland County Prosecutor Karen D. McDonald said.
“We know that owning a gun means securing it properly, locking it and keeping ammo separate and not allowing access to others, particularly minors. We have to hold individuals accountable.”
