Heartbreaking reports coming in from Queensland in Australia have gone on to reveal how a 5-year-old child was mauled to death by a dog in his own backyard.
The five-year-old boy happened to be under the care and supervision of his grandmother inside a home located in Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast. And that’s when a dog which was identified as an English bull terrier- American bulldog cross managed to savagely attack him during the hours of 11:45 in the morning.
After the incident, the young child was rushed to a nearby hospital as he suffered from the most horrifying injuries. Moreover, reports from the Courier Mail went on to speak about how the young child passed away on the operating table.
On the other hand, a spokesman for the Queensland Ambulance revealed how the boy had several life-threatening injuries in the form of bites located upon his neck, right before he entered into a cardiac arrest.
The child happened to be playing outside with the dog in the backyard where his family was house sitting during the hours of the tragic attack.
Reports also revealed how the child’s grandmother was also treated by the paramedics at the scene as she bravely attempted to save the young boy from the vicious animal.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Daily Mail revealed how the boy passed away despite being treated by the city’s best paramedics squad known as the High Acuity Team.
This team comprises a number of highly trained and skilled staff members who are equipped with the most advanced and modern techniques and therapies when it comes to incidents like these as they receive their training at war battlefields.
The boy even received a massive transfusion of blood on an emergency basis as he had lost a lot of blood but in the end, the severity of the injuries was just too much for his tiny body to bear and he passed away, just a day before Christmas.
