We often come across in films and in television a very important message of how people expect way too much from others and it’s not fair.
This next real-life story revolves around that very theme. And many people can’t help themselves from holding back tears because that’s how painful it is.
The woman who hails from Vietnam mentioned how she was so appalled to learn about her parents’ behavior recently. She says that she has been working hard at her job and earning a great salary. But her parents felt it was her responsibility to take care of her siblings and she didn’t agree.
Now, she is being disowned by them for refusing to fund her sisters’ lavish lifestyle. But she fails to see the logic there.
Her parents wanted her to pay college bills and even pay for all the partying and clubbing that she indulges in.
“It was all supposed to be a part of my responsibility. I don’t get why they did this to me. Am I not their child?”- the woman asked while wiping her tears during her confession video.
This young woman is not only a biotech venture capitalist who reportedly received a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience from UCLA.
So in the video, she says that her parents found it alright to send her younger sister to the US to attend school, knowing very well that they couldn’t afford it.
For a long time, she’s been busy supporting them all in all ways possible. But the expenses really got the best of her this time around.
Now, the thought of seeing her parents disown her really made her realize that they didn’t love her for being a daughter but loved her high salary and money. “It’s the most devastating feeling in the world”- she carried on crying while explaining.
