This is the heartwarming story of a gay couple who despite several attempts of getting married, failed to do so, thanks to the stringent rules and regulations in place.
The couple revealed how they were barred from saying ‘I Do’ by the church and just when they thought of giving up, things went in their favor.
39-year-old Shane Yerrell and 30-year-old David Sparrey who hail from Essex are some of the most devoted church-going Christians you’ll find out there today.
But they never in their wildest dreams imagined they would end up refusing to marry them both because they’re a gay couple.
Things certainly didn’t go according to their plan or liking and the duo says they wish things were some other way than this.
But things did turn out to be great and in their favor in the end. Think along the lines of being rejected 31 times for a church wedding. But then, a reverend was kind enough to reverse that around and make a decision that was in their favor.
The couple mentioned how they were so overjoyed and for them, nothing could mean more than the love and support they have for one another.
Along the road, they faced some more challenges. For instance, they did plan on getting married earlier but then couldn’t because a certain family health issue left them with no decision but to wait, moments ahead of the ceremony.
The duo reportedly always wished for a church wedding but mentioned how they felt that if things weren’t going their way, they would be left with no decision but to call the decision off.
