Tragic reports have gone on to confirm the death of one person while 19 others were left wounded after a speeding vehicle was seen crashing through the front window of an Apple Store.
The shocking car crash took place during the morning hours in Hingham, Massachusetts where the exact location was identified by local authorities to be the Boston suburb.
After the driver crashed his speeding SUV into the building’s front window, panic and fear gripped the area and nearby vicinity. Moreover, the mighty sound of the crash could be heard from miles away.
Cops and paramedics were seen rushing to the scene where one person was confirmed dead and around 19 others were believed to have gotten injured in the aftermath of the incident.
The cops took the driver immediately into their custody. Now, authorities have confirmed that he is being held on a $100,000 cash bail after entering the not-guilty plea on Tuesday at his arraignment on Tuesday.
The 53-year-old driver was identified as Bradley Rein and is now facing charges linked to reckless homicide by a motor vehicle as confirmed by the Plymouth County District Attorney named Tim Cruz.
As of Monday, the exact cause of the crash that took place on Monday is yet to be determined and is currently under investigation.
As revealed by court documents from the hearing, Rein mentioned to the cops that he was in search of an eyeglass store at the mall. And that’s when his right foot became stuck on the car’s accelerator.
And that’s when he began to use his left foot to try to brake but he couldn’t stop the vehicle from crashing through the store’s front.
