Investigators from the New York Police Department are currently on the hunt for a serial shooting who managed to gun down and kill two homeless men.
Local media reports revealed how the victims were sleeping on the streets in Manhattan when all of a sudden, the gunman arrived and shot them dead, before making a quick escape.
The incident was conducted via two separate and terrifying attacks yesterday, sparking fear in the already crime spiked city.
Many experts referred to the act as another prime example of New Yor’s worsening crisis as the Mayor was quick to condemn the incident.
In the same way, Mayor Eric Adams revealed how the incident was absolutely horrific, and even went on to call the viral video footage released beyond chilling.
Now, the New York Police Department is on the hunt for the serial shooter that managed to commit two murders, within just hours of each other.
Police have also revealed how they strongly feel that both attacks were targets against the victims and had taken place at about 4:30 am in morning.
The first shooting incident occurred in SoHo on King Street and the victim was identified as a 38-year-old male who received bullets to his arm. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries and is now expected to survive.
However, the second victim was fast asleep when the bullets had struck him.
The chilling video footage showed how the shooter tried to wake up him by kicking his yellow-toned sleeping bag. But when he didn’t get up, the shooter fatally shot him in the neck.
Cops arrived at the scene late and by that time, he was pronounced dead, explained reports from the initial investigation.
