A young and dedicated worker died unexpectedly following a string of traumatic miscarriages.
26-year-old Jemma Zoezee from Wales, UK, was a nursery worker who was desperate to become a mother according to her family.
As the young lady’s relatives revealed, Jemma was left “destroyed” after losing her first baby when she was three months pregnant. While the tragic experience didn’t stop her from trying again, Jemma consecutively suffered two more miscarriages.
Following a series of unfortunate events, Jemma’s mental health declined until the pain became “too much to bear.”
On December 16, the nursery worker was found dead by her family who since launched a GoFundMe page to raise funds for her funeral and a charity that focuses on researching miscarriages and stillbirths.
“The first miscarriage destroyed Jemma. There was very little support for her. When you are down, and then have to dive even deeper into your emotions it can be difficult,” the young woman’s brother, Asa, expressed.
“We just really wish she felt she could navigate through how she was feeling, but there is very little professional support there.
“There was no proactive support for her after the miscarriages. No-one explained to her why she kept losing her babies, and the effect mentally put her under an immense amount of pressure.”
Asa further revealed that his sister fought really hard to be happy before admitting that she just couldn’t bear the pain stemming from the loss of her three unborn children.
He also suggested Jemma would make the perfect mom because she loved working with kids and looking after young children.
“I would say to her that it was amazing that she had that power, but that we were there to help and support her too. But Jemma just seemed unable to get herself out of that hole,” Asa expressed.
The grieving brother further admitted that his family will “never be the same” without her and that they wake up every day hoping her passing was just a “horrible dream” that would come to an end.
“We love her so much. We will never be the same without her. We wake up every morning hoping this was just a horrible dream. But Jem is not hurting anymore, we just wish we could have done more,” he concluded.
Jemma is survived by her loving family and husband Tony.
