One nurse is recalling her horrifying experience after a botched lip filler procedure almost left her with no face.
Paige Bellinger says her medical practitioner who carried out the procedure not only downplayed all of her swellings but also ignored common red flags of infection that involved her lips.
The nurse claims that she was in literal danger of losing her face and for her, it was definitely the most awful and frightening experience to date.
“My lip began to die as she had mistakenly injected a blood vessel by accident”- the nurse cried.
Now, the 26-year-old is sharing all the details of what went wrong and how she managed to save herself from absolute ruins so that other women can help learn from her experience.
Paige recently also shared some horrifying images of the incident so that others could be warned about a great many complications relating to the lip filler procedure.
Despite being forced to spend some extra $6000 for her procedure, the nurse says she was beyond appalled at how some people find it okay to play with others’ lives, instead of admitting their mistake.
At first, the doctor injected about 0.5ml of lip filler into her lips, and despite the needle meeting resistance, the doctor continued to inject forcefully.
Right after the appointment, she could see how her lip turned white instantly and that was a clear indication that something was not right.
“The strange discoloration was a clear tell-tale sign of what went on and that in medical terms is referred to as vascular occlusion. This means blood isn’t passing through a vessel,”- the nurse revealed in a terrified tone.
But no matter how many concerns and complaints she made to her doctor about the swelling and how she feared that it may have been infected, the doctor continued to downplay the act, adding how everything was totally normal.
After five days, the doctor saw her patient’s condition and became worried, adding how the filler entered into a vein, starving her lip of oxygen.
The nurse was forced to undergo treatment in a pressurized chamber so that blood supply could be restored to her lip and face, saving both these areas.
