Williams allegedly failed to call 911 when the patient suffered a fatal heart attack in his car. Instead, she called a colleague who performed CPR on the man.

The nurse initially explained to the police that she met the patient as he sent her a message informing her that he was not feeling well.

During a meeting with her managers, she denied any intimate relationship with the patient and claimed that they were only talking abut his health in the car for 30 to 45 minutes.

Williams later admitted that they had been having an affair.

According to WalesOnline, the nurse called a colleague instead of emergency services when the patient suffered a heart attack.

The NHS nurse was reportedly distressed but did not want to ring emergency medics even when her colleague told her to.

The outlet stated that the dialysis patient died from heart failure coupled with chronic kidney disease.

Because of the incident, the committee fired Williams and she can no longer work as a nurse after ‘bringing the nursing profession into disrepute.’

The panel stated, according to The Telegraph: “Mrs Williams has acted to put patients at risk of harm by failing to contact emergency services when the patient became unwell and when prompted by her colleague.

“Mrs Williams has brought the nursing profession into disrepute and breached one of the fundamental tenets of the profession by engaging in an intimate relationship with a patient in breach of guidance on clear sexual boundaries.”
