Say hello to Jess who hails from Hull. She was not able to heat her food, her freezing home, or even take a shower properly because of the freezing conditions inside. Moreover, she’s now sharing her heartbreaking living conditions with the world too.
Jess who hails from Bransholme says she first had her gas supply shut off around nine days back. This was a direct debit with SSE Energy.
Her connection was canceled and she had zero clue that at that time, she was in debt worth thousands. Hence, there was literally no way out and she began to get worried.
Today, she’s in a dire condition and that entails having zero access to gas for days during a time that is immensely difficult. Not only is it so cold but she’s got a baby to bathe, feed, and more.
After Hull Live contacted the SSE, the firm did apologize and managed to credit her account. But she is now raising awareness on a matter that she says is just not fair.
“I was a single mom on maternity leave. I did not have anyone by my side for support. I had to do it all myself and it was like I was living way back in the stone age”- she mentioned.
Every time she continued to top off the meter, it started to show a negative reading. Hence, she tried again and again. But in the end, it never worked out and she ended up losing huge sums of money.
