BREAKING: Former NFL Star DJ Hayden Dies In Tragic Accident


Former footballer and NFL star DJ Hayden died in a tragic car crash in Houston.

33-year-old Hayden was a two-time All-Conference USA honoree who was drafted into the NFL by the Raiders in 2013. During his nine years in the NFL, the cornerback played for a number of other teams including Washington Commanders, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Detroit Lions.

It was now revealed that Hayden was among six people killed in a car crash at Houston’s Pierce Street and Fannin Street intersection.

The incident unraveled on Saturday morning at around 2 am when two vehicles collided after one car ran the red light.

It was further revealed that Hayden died in the crash along with two former University of Houston teammates Ralph Oragwu and Zach McMillian. A fourth Cougars player involved in the incident – Jeffery Lewis – survived the collision.

According to Asst. Chief Megan Howard, Hayden and his former teammates were in an Acura SUV when a Chrysler 300 plowed into them after speeding through a red light.

A total of four people were killed on the scene and an additional two died after four people were taken to the hospital.

One of the hospitalized people is still fighting for her life, and another is already talking to the police.

“Literally, it sounded like two trains crashing together. I can still hear the sound in my head. It’s nerve-wracking,” one of the victims who survived the ordeal told Eyewitness News.

“I was right next to him [another victim]. I just had something in my gut telling me to get up, and I got up. But it could have been me.”
