A doctor couple is breaking their silence for the first time after their beautiful teenage daughter went on a hike but never returned.
The parents who hail from New Hampshire claim to be in a state of mourning at this moment. They feel their daughter opted for a deadly adventure and went totally unprepared.
This is in terms of the horrifyingly cold winter conditions and that’s where she made attempts to climb the top of a state mountain, which happened last month.
The victim was identified as Emily Sotelo who began hiking just two years back. At that time, she had already gone up 40 out of 48 peaks located in the state and each was over 4000 feet. This was outlined to be a popular goal that she ventured upon. It has for a while now managed to attract hikers of all kinds to the White Mountains.
Tragically, news had broken out last month about her sudden death while she was trying to reach the top of the peak. Moreover, her body was discovered three days after she went missing. And her parents revealed how that day would actually have been her 20th birthday.
Emily was a sophomore in college and she had zero experience when it came down to the likes of hiking during the winter time, her parents confirmed.
Moreover, she lacked all the essential equipment that was required to make such a journey safely.
And when compounded by the likes of a brutal winter storm, it was obvious what the end result of her journey would be.It killed her in the end and the temperatures were between 5 degrees and below zero degrees too. Moreover, you’d find wind gusts going all the way up to 95 mph.
