In wake of the growing number of gun violence incidents in the recent past, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has reportedly announced a national freeze on handgun ownership.
According to local media reports, the new bill is all set to put an end to the ease of citizens buying as well as selling weapons at any location across the Canadian nation.
The news is being hailed around the globe, with many calling the US for a similar call to action after a horrifyingly tragic school shooting incident rocked Texas last week.
19 children and two kids were reportedly killed in the devastating incident when a teenage gunman used the rifle that he had purchased on his 18th birthday recently.
Right before, the US was recovered from a horrifying racist attack where a gunman in Buffalo used his AK-47 guns to shoot dead people of color in a supermarket while live-streaming the entire incident.
The new bill is being hailed for obvious reasons as its main point was to target the safety of the citizens of the country, adding how it is not keen on disarming but preventing any unfortunate incident that puts the lives of so many innocent people at risk.
Justin Trudeau explained how the bill would be implemented with immediate effect from this fall and he hoped that after its implementation, users would no longer be able to purchase, sell, import, or even transfer handguns at any place across the country.point 347 |

When passed, many claim it’s going to be a wonderful and much-needed law that should have been done before so many innocent lives were lost across the border.
Meanwhile, the country’s public safety minister says all protocols were being made to ensure its smooth passing into the legislation by the Parliament.
