A man who murdered his lover and 3-year-old toddler has finally been sentenced to life in prison.
According to local media outlets, a murderer carried out the horrifying crime around 45 years back and has been brought to justice at last.
William MacDowell will now reportedly die in jail after one judge had sentenced the 80-year-old to a minimum jail sentence of 30 years for taking the life of Renee and Andrew MacRae.
Hence, this case was outlined as the longest-running case of a missing person in the UK.
MacDowell was recently convicted by the jury at the High Court for killing both Renee and the couple’s infant son. Moreover, the shocking part is how the cops never managed to get their hands on the body of the missing individuals. This means neither the mom nor the son.
It’s a huge tragedy and the cops have urged the killer on several occasions to come forward and disclose the reality of the matter and what he did to them.
“They deserve some dignity in the form of a burial. The bodies need to be disposed of in the right manner but it’s been a long time since this missing person case has taken place. Justice needs to be served”- the judge continued.
The judge and jury claim that such murders appear to be planned way ahead of time. And they’re usually done in a very calculated manner and not just a spontaneous event.
Moreover, calling the case nothing less than execution, it’s beyond appalling as to what really went on that night.
“You murdered those that meant most to you. You even found it ok to dispose of their bodies and the pushchair. You are an evil man” -the judge carried on in a harsh tone.
