A young child was recently rushed by emergency services to a nearby local hospital after he reportedly fell from a balcony, plunging several meters to the ground.
According to local media reports, the terrifying incident took place in the southern part of Sydney in Penshurst at nearly 4 pm on a Saturday.
Rescue services were called in immediately, where they put the child’s body on a stretcher and rushed him immediately to the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
While members of the NSW Ambulance paramedics did make attempts to treat the victim at the scene, it appeared to be a near to impossible task and that’s why they chose to rush him to the medical facility instead.
As of now, it’s still not clear what the real extent of the child’s injuries are but he is considered to be alive and conscious. The NSW Ambulance service also spoke in detail about how several road crews did take part to offer their services to the child.
Sources added that investigations into the incident are currently taking place but from what it appears so far, the fall from the balcony was an accident.
The mother appeared to be in a state of complete shock and misery relating to the incident. She cried out to rescue officials to please help and save her child, while other witnesses tried to keep her calm, and requested her to take a step back.
The exact age and identity of the child are yet to the unveiled. All that is known is that tragedy took place at a block of units in Penshurst, leaving onlookers stunned.
Many call the child being alive a miracle as he slammed onto a concrete path after falling to the ground.
