Tragic reports have been revealed by a mother who recently lost her 18-month-old toddler under the most heartbreaking circumstances imaginable.
The mother who says she’ll never be able to recover from the incident mentally is now opening up about how her son died, right in front of her eyes.
“It’s just too shocking and painful to speak about. I saw him fall five feet down to his death, down the sewage drain”- the mom from Kent explained.
According to 23-year-old Amy Blyth, she and her son were busy strolling when all of sudden, she saw him disappear, right in front of her eyes.
And that’s when she realized the manhole cover had sunk in with her child’s following close behind. And that is what led to his terrible fall and ultimately his death in the end.
Terrifying CCTV footage is now going viral in regards to the incident, And that shows the exact moment when little Theo Prior fell down with the drain cover. The mother thought quickly and jumped inside the drain to rescue her child and she manage to remove him, while in an unconscious state.
While Theo was rushed by his mom to a nearby local hospital in Kent, he was unable to survive because, at the time, medics claimed he only had a mild concussion. However, that proved to be a major misdiagnosis in the end.
Southern Water has recently launched an investigation into the matter as they try and figure out what was the reason for the misdiagnosis. But as investigations continue, the hospital has since then issued an apology to the devastated family during this difficult time of grieving.
The mother thought at first that her child was dead after trying to make a rescue attempt from the public pavement. His clothes were all covered in human waste but as she rushed him to the hospital, she had some glimmer of hope about his survival. But that all failed after the misdiagnosis by medics.
