A woman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after the baby died from co-sleeping with her.
According to local media outlets, the mother had previously been warned by authorities against the practice because they felt it unsafe for her to participate. After all, her firstborn had died in the same manner.
The officers added that the officers dealing with the case added that the mother failed to learn from her mistakes and is now learning the hard way after her second child’s death.
The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s office is now issued a warrant for the mom. Her name is Brooke Hunter.
Brooke, who hails from Cincinnati, is begging for authorities to understand that she never did anything on purpose, and it just happened. She adds that it’s ridiculous that her mistake is being considered a crime because this is her grief period, and she shouldn’t be in jail alone.
Brook’s baby was only 6 weeks old when it died in Ohio, and she was described to be in very close physical contact with her child.
A year ago, Brook’s firstborn died in infancy from close contact while sleeping. She made the same excuses then and refused to change her behavior.
Seeing it happen again for the third time is mind-boggling to the authorities, and that’s why she was arrested immediately.
The death of her second child is being looked upon as a homicide incident. And that’s because it took place after she received the warning.
Do you think it is fair for the court to charge the mother with homicide or not? Let us know, and be sure to SHARE the story with others too.
