A mother was arrested and charged with killing her own daughter before disposing of her remains.

30-year-old Ruth Floriano from São Paulo, Brazil, was apprehended by the police over the weekend after the mother of her partner made a horrifying discovery at the young woman’s home.

According to the reports, Floriano kept parts of her 9-year-old daughter’s body in the fridge for three weeks after killing the child in cold blood.

Before she committed the murder of her daughter, Alany Silva, the mother searched the internet for the “easiest way” to dismember a body. She then got high on drugs and took her daughter’s life because the child refused to accept the fact that she broke up with her ex-boyfriend who is said to have loved the girl as his own.

“He had a love for Alany, it was something inexplicable, you saw pictures of them together and thought they were father and daughter, there’s no way. She said it was, from what I hear, it was to hit hurt and she did,” the killer mom’s sister, Aline Floriano, said.

Aline also revealed that her niece, Silva, preferred to stay with her and often complained about her mother being physically aggressive towards her.

“She spoke directly at the police station and all the family heard that she wanted to kill him and the other children, finish the job and kill herself,” the sister added.

As the investigation into the gruesome crime deepened, it also came to light that Floriano’s actions were exposed after she moved to a new home and brought her fridge with her.

It was her boyfriend’s mother who opened the fridge after suspecting the woman of hiding drugs or weapons inside.

It was also confirmed that since the gruesome discovery Ruth Floriano was charged with the murder of her daughter. Her other two children were taken into custody by child protective services.
