Grieving Mother Of 12-Year-Old Boy Who Died In Jumping Castle Tragedy Breaks Into Tears As She Delivers A Heartbreaking Speech


The mother of a 12-year-old boy who died in the Tasmania jumping castle tragedy broke into tears as she paid a tribute to her beloved son.

Zane Mellor, 12, was among six young victims who lost their lives after falling dozens of feet to their death following a powerful gust of wind that sent their jumping castle into the air.

One week after the horrible incident at the Hillcrest Primary School, Zane’s family gathered to pay their tributes to the bright young boy before laying him to rest.

During the emotional service at Mersey Gardens Chapel, the student’s mom, Georgie Gardam, broke into tears as she recalled the good times they had spent together.

“My baby, where do I start,” the grieving mom said.

“I was so young when I had you, only 15, and now I know why. You grew up with me, you held my hand, you were my man of the house always, my protector, my strength, my gamer.

“I spoilt you rotten – Hawaiian pizza, McDonalds… some of your favorites. Everyone told me to get you off that PlayStation but I let you play until your heart was content and your eyes got sleepy.”

She concluded: “I love you Zaney. No matter what the weather, we’re together.”

During the emotional sendoff, photos of young Zane and his most precious moments in life were displayed in a slideshow while a Cold Play song played in the background.

Meanwhile, the young boy’s casket was decorated with gaming stickers and a poster of his favorite video game.
