A mother-of-five collapsed and died suddenly while walking her children to school last week.
38-year-old Donna Taylor was a fun and loving mother who tragically died during her school run in Sowerby Bridge, England.
According to the reports, the mom complained of a headache while walking her daughter to school before suddenly collapsing and becoming unresponsive on June 27.
After the paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the woman at the side of the road where they tried to save her life for an hour before rushing her to the hospital where she was officially declared brain dead.
On the following day, Donna’s life support system was turned off.
The young mom is survived by four young children including Nevaeh, 1, Ella, 5, Dakota, 12, and Oliver, 14. Donna’s son Josh previously died when he was just three years old.
“She was literally just walking her daughter to school and said she got a pain in her head and she ending up collapsing,” Kealy Smith, Donna’s cousin, recalled.
“An ambulance was rung and they were working on her for about an hour at the side of the road. It was very unexpected, she was just taking her daughter to school. She was talking to my uncle the night before.
“I think everyone was just in shock. How can you go from taking your daughter to school to being gone?”
Following the tragedy, Smith launched a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for Donna’s funeral.
“Donna suddenly passed away a few days ago which has been a massive shock to us all. She was only 38 and has left behind 4 children aged 1, 5, 12 and 14 and a loving family who are very distraught,” she wrote.
“Due to her young age, nothing had ever been put into place for when she’s gone and for her children’s sake, we would like to give her the best send off possible, as it’s the least she would deserve.”
According to the shocked and heartbroken family, Donna was a devoted mother who always put her children first.
“Never saw her without her kids, her kids were her whole life, she never did anything for herself. As long as the kids were happy and looked after she was happy,” Smith added.
Our thoughts are with Donna’s family and friends during these challenging times.
