A young mother of a 1-year-old baby has passed away after a tornado ripped through an Amazon warehouse in Illinois.
34-year-old Etheria S. Hebb was a “sweet” and “kind” person with a “beautiful soul” who worked as a delivery driver for Amazon.
On Sunday, the single mom’s family confirmed that Etheria died at the Amazon warehouse in Edwardsville, Illinois, on Friday after a tornado ravaged the building and ripped off its roof.
“She was the most sweetest, kindest person ever. She was such a beautiful soul,” the woman’s sister, Tiara Hebb, expressed in an interview with The Post.
“She was the life of the party and always did everything for everyone. She always checked on everyone. She was a wonderful mother.”
As the young mom’s heartbroken family confirmed, the 34-year-old delivery driver left behind a one-year-old baby son, Malik, who misses his mother terribly.
“They were very close. It’s kinda hard but we will get through it by the grace of God,” Baby Hebb, Etheria’s stepmom, added.
Speaking out after Hebb’s passing was also family friend Siera Williams who said her friends were left shattered by the incident.
“You’ve always been a beautiful soul to me. Your smile lights up any room. Watch over us sleeping beauty,” she wrote.
Following the Friday disaster, the authorities confirmed that at least 45 Amazon workers managed to get to safety after the building was rocked by the tornado. 6 people, however, have lost their lives during the ordeal.
Among the deceased Amazon employees are Austin J. McEwen, 26, Deandre ‘Shawn’ Morrow, 28, Clayton Cope, 29, Etheria S. Hebb, 34, Larry E. Virden, 46, and Kevin D. Dickey, 62.
